Can you love yourself—even here?

Dear Friends,

Let’s be real—some days it’s hard to love yourself.

We all have those insecurities. For me, it’s been a few: a health challenge, my receding hairline, and the quiet, persistent inner critic that says, “If only you did more and looked a little different, maybe you’d feel better about yourself.”

But here’s the surprising gift: those insecurities have pushed me to love myself in a deeper, more unconditional way.

Because when the surface doesn’t give you the validation you’re looking for, you’re invited to go deeper. To look at yourself—not through the eyes of judgment, but through the eyes of compassion.

Maybe you’ve got something about your appearance or your story that you struggle to accept. Maybe it feels like if that one thing could just be “fixed,” then you’d be able to feel good.

But what if that one thing is actually the door?

The door to discovering a love that doesn’t need to be earned or proven. A love that says, You are worthy right now. As you are.

Try this: Look at the part of yourself you often hide or criticize. Take one deep breath. And whisper to it, “I see you. I love you. Thank you for being a part of me.” And now try to look past that part of yourself to the light within.

This is where real self-love begins. Not in perfection—but in presence.

Blessings,

Ryan Justin Jackson
